Scawby Village
Scawby is a rural parish in North Lincolnshire comprising of Scawby, Sturton, Greetwell and Scawby Brook. The approach to the village from all sides is through farmland or parkland and the many old cottages and stone walls help to give the village a truly rural character. It is situated just over 2 miles from the market town of Brigg, 6 miles from Scunthorpe and there is direct access to the M180 and the A15.
Scawby Parish Council
Scawby Parish Council meetings are normally held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Garden Room of the Village Hall at 7pm. Any resident of the parish may attend as an observer if they wish. The first 15 minutes of the meeting are available for parishioners to raise any parish matters. Notice of meetings and agendas are displayed on the parish notice boards.
The Annual Parish Meeting is held on a date between 1st March and 1st June and is open to all residents of the parish.
The Parish Council is supported by 14 Parish Councillors and 2 Ward Councillors who ensure the smooth running of the parish.
